Graduate Student Global EcologyCarnegie Institution for Science tballard@carnegiescience.edu Office: 260 Panama StreetStanford, CA 94305, US ProfileBio Tristan’s research focuses on understanding how historical and future meteorological and climate variability impact riverine ecosystems. In particular, he is interested in developing robust statistical models for estimating climate impacts 1) on large-scale nitrogen runoff, 2) on historical river temperature regimes, and 3) on the increasing likelihood of extreme river temperatures into the future. Tristan is currently a 4th year PhD student in the Department of Earth System Science at Stanford University.
